Controller

Daniel Anders, email: info@daoad.de

This policy applies to the entire daoad.de website, including the CLF Editor at daoad.de/clf/.

In short

Apart from the fonts in the CLF Editor described below, the daoad.de pages set no cookies, use no analytics or tracking tools and load no content from third-party servers. Their fonts are hosted on this server as well. The language version is chosen in your browser from its language setting; nothing is stored or transmitted for this.

Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you request a page, the server processes technically necessary data sent by your browser:

This serves only to deliver the website and keep it running securely. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in stable and secure operation. How long STRATO retains the log files is described in its privacy notice.

Contact by email

If you email me, I use your address and the content only to reply to your message (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I delete the message once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

CLF Editor (daoad.de/clf/)

The CLF Editor runs entirely in your browser. Layouts you open or edit are not transferred to the server. So that no work is lost after a crash, the editor automatically saves the current state in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data never leaves your device; it is deleted as soon as you save the layout or decline the restore, and you can remove it at any time in your browser settings.

The editor currently loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in consistent presentation. Details are in Google's privacy policy.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). An informal email to info@daoad.de is sufficient.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate.
